Procrastination is the worst. I am finally ready to move on from it and have started using tools like calendar blocks and reminders to get better at things that matter.
Thanks Punit -- yeah, scheduling is a great tool for beating procrastination! Routine is good too, but with competing priorities, sometimes it's not possible. Scheduling, even if it is different times every week, can at least mimic routine.
Also, I had dropped my first comment while reading your post at work. Now that I'm home, I started reading the whole thing. Thank you for the shoutout! Also I miss our writing group, wish I was able to make it work. But I'm glad you guys are still up to it, and I hope to see you on one of those sessions.
Also Douglas Adams is the bomb. It is my ritual to read the Hitchhikers' trilogy of five every year. I have done it each year since 2016. LOVE IT!
Yes, I certainly enjoy those sessions with Igor. Jump back in anytime!
Adams has been a favourite of mine for a very long time. Not quite the beginning, but almost. Heard the original radio plays a few years ago -- hilarious! I think the original BBC TV show was my first encounter with him. I stuck with him despite that... lol (not a great production).
Graham, a great read!!! As I stare down the barrel of another year with my MS all dusty, I’m thinking this is exactly what I need. Someone to hold my feet to the fire!
I'll call Douglas Adams' editors for you -- they might help! lol
Ultimately though, if you have irons in many fires, you have to decide in which ones your feet belong. Your dusty MS will still be there when you're ready.
A shoutout too, to one of my other writing groups, The Laughing Foxes, that I'll be seeing tonight! Another HUGE source of inspiration to me, especially for my novel writing. See you all soon!

Thanks for that!
