I've been thinking a lot about this lately - not around writing, but in other parts of my life. I think there's an old story about needing to take important things seriously - which results in me not having enough fun. In terms of writing and work, there's then part of my voice that gets lost when I've lost touch with fun. I feel a blog post coming on... may link yours in mine....

Yeah, it's definitely something I can work on in my real life. It's something that I'm working on. I take some things waaaaay too seriously. On the other hand, I hate the feeling of one of the balls dropping if I get too loosey-goosey. So, somehow, I have to let go of that, too!

Also ... I feel like I should know this, maybe I haven't been paying attention - what's Strong's First Law of Writing?

As a matter of fact, there *is* a First Law of Writing, but I haven't gotten around to putting it down yet. That's for a future post!

Phew! I was worried I wasn’t paying attention, taking your posts seriously enough!!!

lol -- I didn't take it seriously enough to post the First Law first! But then, it's all in fun...!
