According to schedule, there should be a post coming out this December 26 – Boxing Day, for many of us. I’ve decided to delay it a week, not least of all because it will make for a great first-week-in-January post. It’s a step-by-step guide to getting into the writing frame of mind, so we all have that to look forward to in the New Year. (In case my dry humour isn’t coming across, my tongue is so firmly in cheek that it looks like I have the mumps when I say “look forward to”...)
Speaking of things to look forward to (more mumps), if you’re in Thunder Bay in mid-January – and who doesn’t love Thunder Bay in the dead of winter – I’ll be doing a reworked version of the workshop I’ve done for the past several years. This one will be in-person for the first time ever, so I’m both looking forward to and terrified for that. It’s also part of a rare double workshop with another NOWW writer who will talk about how to read work for an audience. More details will be up eventually here:
Until 2024, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and Happy New Year! And, if you are able to squirrel away some time for yourself over the holidays, happy writing, too!

Happy Holidays!!!
